Choose Adoption!

According to the ASPCA:

  • Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year.

  • Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats).

  • Approximately 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted each year (1.6 million dogs and 1.6 million cats).

  • About 710,000 animals who enter shelters as strays are returned to their owners. Of those, 620,000 are dogs and only 90,000 are cats.

We will Rescue any animal that we have an available foster home that understands and can provide the specialized care that is required,  including small animals and some farm animals.  Please check Petfinder for a complete list of our adorable adoptables.  You may also contact one of our coordinators. (see our website or facebook for updated dates and times)

63% of American homes own at least one pet.  Approx. 25% of those pets were adopted from a rescue or shelter.  6% were purchased from a pet store.  A staggering 60% of pets are still being "purchased" either from breeders or from individuals that have allowed their animals to mate and are selling the offspring.

What do these numbers mean to us?

An unbelievable amount of precious, perfect but unwanted animals are abandoned, abused, neglected or turned over to a shelter with their fate pre-determined.

Music City Animal Rescue is passionate about what we do.

It is our goal to unite these deserving creatures with families they can spend the rest of their lives with.  We take great care in evaluating and working with each and every animal to make their adoption a wonderful experience for everyone.

We believe "RESCUED" animals make the best pets.

They understand they have been saved, and that someone cared enough  to save them from the terrible situation they were in.

We hope that you will take a look at the animals listed below. On behalf of the staff of the Music City Animal Rescue and all those animals waiting to become a part of your family, we hope that you will choose ADOPTION!!
